The project
The 2024 edition of the ORAHS – Operational Research Applied to Health Services – International Congress was shaping up to be a crucial event for the international scientific community. Welcoming high-profile experts from all over the world, facilitating the sharing of innovative knowledge, and addressing challenges related to the management of health services in a location as prestigious as theUniversity of Turin represented both an opportunity and a great challenge.
A packed program of keynote speeches, workshops, plenary sessions and networking moments, but that’s not all. Several social events including dinners, excursions and atmospheric experiences that ensured the success of the conference!
The involvement
The ORAHS Congress, with a busy schedule of keynote speeches, workshops, plenary sessions and networking moments, required detailed planning and timely management. The main challenge was to ensure the best possible experience for all 200 participants while meeting tight timelines and maintaining high quality standards.
The involvement of international speakers and the need to set up spaces for parallel sessions, as well as having to manage flows of participants from all over the world, added complexity to the event. In addition, the University of Turin, with its historic architecture, had to be enhanced as a location while maintaining the necessary balance between tradition and innovation.
Social Events
One of the key aspects for the success of ORAHS 2024 was also the creation of moments of socialization and networking, which allowed participants to interact informally and discover the beauty of the Italian territory. Promoest organized a series of social events that enriched the congress experience and left an indelible mark on participants.
On July 17, the social program kicked off with a trip to the Borromean Islands, one of the most fascinating corners of Lake Maggiore. Participants had the opportunity to explore the gardens, villas and natural beauty of the archipelago in an experience that combined culture and relaxation.
The next day, July 18, a gala dinner was held at an exclusive location in the center of Turin. The evening, characterized by an elegant convivial atmosphere, offered traditional Piedmontese dishes and a unique opportunity to build professional relationships in a more relaxed setting. The dinner was accompanied by music and entertainment for all participants.
Finally, to end on a high note, an extraordinary trip was organized on July 20 at the Mont Blanc Skyway, offering participants the thrill of ascending to an altitude of 3,466 meters. Here, guests were able to admire the snow-capped peaks of Mont Blanc and enjoy an unprecedented high-altitude experience. It was an unforgettable moment that left everyone breathless.
A shared success
The ORAHS 2024 Congress was a great success, not only for the level of scientific content and papers presented, but also for the perfect logistical organization and quality of social events offered . Participants praised the fluidity of the program, the attention to detail, and the opportunity to experience networking moments in spectacular settings.
