From June 15-17, 2023, the University of Milano-Bicocca hosted the first edition of the Bicocca Hepato-Gastro Meeting, which was planned with the aim of presenting the highest profiles in the main topics of Hepatology and Gastroenterology.

The purposes
Numerous talks were given by national and nonnational experts in the field.
In fact, the meeting featured more than 30 high-profile speakers who oversaw the plenary sessions and various parallel sessions that took place over the 3 intense days of the event. But also, and most importantly, the involvement of 190 residents, doctors and students from medical departments throughout Italy.
The conference was jointly organized by the University of Milan Bicocca, Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo, Niguarda Hospital in Milan and S.Gerardo Hospital in Monza and allowed participants to:
- Participate in talks by well-known profiles from the field of hepatology and gastroenterology and attend video sessions of talks;
- Obtaining CME training credits;
- Present their own studies and research;
- For final-year medical students to choose and define their area of specialization.
The results
The complete organization of the congress was entrusted to Promoest, which managed not only the educational credits together with its scientific partner, but also of the organization of speakers’ travel and overnight stays for 100 selected students/specialists throughout Italy. Indeed, this ensured the success of the first edition of the event, along with the contribution made by more than 20 pharmaceutical companies that took part as sponsors.
Indeed, Promoest’s support in coordinating, engaging and caring for sponsors was important. But not only that: also in the management of social campaigns and interventions and in the drafting of press releases that allowed for real-time knowledge and dissemination of the Meeting’s success; as well as providing the possibility of planning new editions.
