The Project
From August 27-31, 2023, the University of Milan Bicocca hosted the prestigious 44th Annual ISCB Conference. An event that brought together about 900 researchers and students from the most renowned universities, both in attendance and streaming. This must-attend event in the world of biostatistics was distinguished by a 5-day program. A conference filled with educational sessions, talks by distinguished specialists in the field and oral presentations. Advanced research on the methods and practical applications of biostatistics in medicine, pharmacy and health care were the basis for the entire Congress.
The purposes
After an engaging opening day devoted to the Pre-Conference Courses, the conference kicked off with three intense days of eight parallel sessions of free contributions. These sessions, organized and led by internationally renowned experts, provided a broad overview of the latest discoveries and developments in the field of biostatistics. All the speeches fueled stimulating discussions and encouraged collaboration among the participants.
The culmination of the event was the Mini-symposia, focused on the career of the biostatistician and the enhancement of analytical reasoning in observational studies. These meetings provided valuable insights and practical advice for aspiring biostatistics professionals as well as those seeking to hone their skills in the ever-evolving field.
